Karina Mandock Saldivar is an Atlanta based voice teacher and a classical singer. She believes that a good performer is able to freely express their most authentic self on stage, and she strives to reflect and pass on that idea in her own performances and teaching. In 2022 she completed a Masters in Music in Vocal Pedagogy at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. At Boston Conservatory, she co-taught “Voice for Non-Majors” and worked as an English tutor. Karina graduated with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2019 with a B.S. in Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies and a minor in music. She also worked with the Georgia Tech Chamber Choir as a co-director in 2021. In 2022, she participated in Canto Vocal Program where she sang in Suor Angelica, and other concerts. She has sung in various ensembles in the U.S. and abroad and used that personal international experience as well as her undergraduate education for her Master’s lecture “Crossing Boundaries: Working with ELL Students in the Voice Studio” which focused on the potential hurdles in teaching international ELL students and how to overcome them. Her goal is to make all her students feel welcome and to share and cultivate a love of music.
